He graduated from Imperial College, and then spent a year at Chelsea School of Art and two years at the Royal College of Art. A few years later he completed a postgraduate qualification at the Institute of Education, in London, and then a Masters at Cranfield Institute of technology. He has been, at times, physics teacher, management consultant, artist, teacher of sound recording, jazz pianist, photographer, model agent, and once or twice - standup comic. There's probably a few more things he'd like to do.
