By participating in the Competition each Team Leader and team member (together, the “Team”) agrees to be bound by the following agreement in relation to their participation in the LBF 48 Hours Film Competition and the creation of a short film or video (the “Film”). Each Team Leader must submit a duly signed form as set out below when they collect their Title and Genre on 3 July, 2009. 

The Team hereby states that they have read, and agree to abide by this agreement and the Rules and Procedures (as set out on the London Bridge Festival (‘LBF’) website) of the LBF 48 Hours Film Competition (the “Competition). It is understood that LBF reserves the right to screen or exhibit only those films which adhere to terms of this agreement and the Rules and Procedures and that any films that may be regarded as pornographic, racist, unethical or in any way offensive will not be screened or exhibited.

The Team hereby understands that they are solely responsible for all crew, cast, equipment, sets, locations, permits, licences, insurance and other items necessary for participating in the Competition and all costs, expenses, damages and claims related thereto. The Team hereby understands that they are solely responsible for the safety of all cast and crew who participant in the Film.

The Team hereby affirms that they will secure all rights to images, sounds and music used in their Film and/or will secure any and all talent, crew releases and other releases as required ( including but not limited to use of locations, artwork, music, props etc) (the “Release Form(s)”) .

The Team hereby affirms that such Release Form(s) will allow the Team and/or LBF to exercise the rights as required and set out here and in the Rules and Procedures and will indemnify and save and hold harmless LBF from any and all claims, costs, damages, expenses and liabilities arising from the creation, use, participation, exhibition and exploitation (including, but not limited to claims for negligence and other torts, discrimination, fraud, infringement and breach of contract) of the Team's Film.

The Team hereby acknowledges that LBF has unrestricted user rights to the Film and that LBF has the right to publicise, promote, screen, show, exhibit or broadcast the Film in all media (now known or later invented or devised) as required by LBF. Otherwise the intellectual property rights to the Film remain with the Team. If the Film is screened, exhibited or broadcast outside of the London Bridge Festival, the London Bridge Festival must be named as a producer (something like “Produced as part of the London Bridge Festival 2009”)

The Team hereby acknowledges that LBF has the right but not the obligation to produce and distribute a DVD containing all or a selection of the films submitted to the Competition. The Team understands that LBF would not be obligated to include every film created for the Competition on the DVD and that such DVD may or may not include the Team’s Film. The Team hereby waives the right to any payment or other remuneration in relation to any such DVD.

The Team hereby acknowledges that a documentary may be shot during the Competition, and hereby agrees to allow camera crews unrestricted access (provided such access does not unreasonably interrupt with or interfere production of the Film) to film any production stage of the Film; and further agrees to immediately provide to LBF a signed release for each of their participating cast and crew members. This in no way, however, obligates LBF to produce or exhibit the documentary and/or include any filming of the Film as part of that documentary.

DVDs submitted to the LBF will not be returned and remain the property of the LBF.

Judges decisions will be final and LBF cannot enter into correspondence about the results.
