3 Directors - 12 cars - 24 Performers - 60 minutes
A mixture of plays, physical theatre, cabaret and comedy. There'll also be a top class stand-up comedian from The Funny Women stable ... and, in the greenest, and most economic publicity stunt ever, we'll have HUMAN FLYERS on hand to tell people about the festival.
Produced by: Daryl Folkard
The three performances will be:
“Granny Theft Auto” directed by Sarah Ruff and Martin O’Brien
A refreshingly new and comical insight into the lives of Grannies. Playing with the use of performance alongside 'the real', the cast is made up of a mixture of performers and their Grannies.
Granny theft auto uses four cars as sites allowing you to experience a broken journey through four installations which assault your senses. The audience are given the chance to experience first hand the inner workings of the complex and domestic world of the grandmother.
Only one thing is certain- you will never look at your Granny the same again!
“Crashing the Party” directed by Tory Sandars
A group of party goers eagerly anticipate the night of their lives. The party of the year is to be hosted by the charismatic character of the moment; Charles. But along the way the party-goers take an unexpected turn in the road which leads them on an entirely different journey- - a journey into the unconscious mind.
Taking them beyond their wildest dreams, all on board become party to a world where few will ever return. Danger, excitement, escape! But only those few there will be lucky enough to experience this trip of a lifetime- where ‘crashing the party’ takes on a whole new meaning.
Let the multi Charles be your guild through this party of the mind, get set for a trip of a life time, where halluncinogenics are not required!
"Four Cars and a Clown" directed by Anthony Coleridge
An exciting series of comedy sketches incorporating some clowns, a magician and a very dodgy cabbie. Written especially for the London Bridge Festival by Tom Pamment and acclaimed New York Screenwriters Challenge finalist Tim Downie. Featuring the magic of Neil Henry who has worked with some of the finest magicians in the world. Come and enjoy some fast-paced relentless comedy by some of the most talented writers and actors working in London today.
Please note that the above is in rehearsal and details may change.
